Ancestry.com
According to their web site, Ancestry.com includes the largest collection of family history records on the web with more than three billion names and 4,000 searchable databases. In addition to the web's largest collection of historical records, users have access to free family tree software, downloadable charts and forms, message boards and an entire library of articles and research tips.
Ancestry.com is a fee-based site. Some content is free, such as that found on the bulletin boards and the Ancestry World Tree, but mostly one must pay a fee to gain access to their data. Moreover, Ancestry.com is an auto-renewing subscription service. Those wishing to subscribe should read carefully the Terms & Conditions.
Ancestry.com is part of the MyFamily.com network, a collection of genealogy-related web sites.
